Attorney Jason Xu is a partner at the U.S. law firm Rimon Law. Based in Washington, D.C., he frequently travels between the United States and China to address clients' most critical intellectual property issues. Thanks to his technical background, exceptional legal skills, deep understanding of client needs and risks, and longstanding ties with the Chinese community in Asia, clients—particularly Chinese enterprises—place great trust in him.
Attorney Xu has extensive experience handling intellectual property infringement litigation and patent invalidation cases before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) and various U.S. district courts. He also regularly assists clients in pursuing patent invalidation proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Beyond litigation, he provides intellectual property advisory services to clients, including patent and trademark portfolio management, patent licensing, and operations.
His work spans multiple industries, such as high technology (computer software and hardware, internet-related technologies, semiconductor integrated circuits), fintech (banking and finance), and digital health (medical devices). Prior to entering the legal field, Attorney Xu held roles as a software architect, technical manager, and senior software engineer at several wireless and software companies.
He holds a Juris Doctor from the George Washington University Law School, a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Fudan University in China.
