Justin Shi currently serves as Director Assertion at Ericsson's Intellectual Property & Licensing Department, where he leads the company's IP litigation affairs in China and has managed a number of influential cases in the industry. He participates in formulating and implementing the company's patent litigation strategies, analyzing how products and services of potential licensees correspond to Ericsson's industry-leading patent portfolio. He also supports Ericsson's IP policy-related operations in China.
Prior to joining Ericsson in 2015, Mr. Shi worked as a Patent Attorney at Sony Mobile Communications and as an IP Counsel at LG. With over a decade of hands-on patent experience, in addition to his current focus on litigation, he has been involved in driving innovation, patent applications, patent portfolio management, infringement risk assessment, patent licensing, open-source software licensing, IP customs and online protection, as well as the review and drafting of IP-related agreements.
Mr. Shi graduated from the Law School of Renmin University of China and is qualified as a Chinese Patent Attorney and licensed to practice law in China.
